When do you add new items to the site?

As often as possible! We always find fantastic new items we want to share with you, so please check back regularly! If you sign up to our newsletter you will be notified as soon as new items arrive.

I saw one of your products in a magazine. Can I buy it from you?

The majority of our items are vintage, so the one you find here may be the only one. We do however hope you find a suitable replacement you will be happy with.

I saw a product I loved but it no longer seems to be available.

We know how frustrating it can be when you have your heart set on an item and you go to buy it and it’s no longer there BUT that is what can happen sometimes when you are buying vintage. Most of our fantastic stock is limited in quantity. This is why you need to act quickly and buy it before someone else does! However, we do add products all the time so you might just find something similar to what you were looking for.

How do I change details on my account?

Once you have signed up, you will be able to log into “my account” anytime to change your password, email address, delivery information or phone numbers. If you have not visited us in a while, it is worth checking your account to make sure all your details are still up to date. Keep in mind that once you have finalised an order, you will not be able to make any changes to the address you have selected for delivery.

What happens if I forget my sign-in information?

Don’t worry. Select the "Forgotten My Password" link on the My Account page and follow the instructions. If you have any further problems, email customerservices@kiranbe.com.

There is a buying guide for the item. How do you determine this?

The majority of vintage items are used items and subsequently, not all items will be perfect. During our selection process, we examine each item in detail to check the quality of the item and to determine if there are any issues that you need to be aware of. We are very honest in our selection and grading process because we want you to know exactly what you are buying and we want you to be happy and return to our store.

Each item is classified into six categories:

MINT (M)

The original item, contents and packaging are complete including full documentation if issued, stickers, and inner packaging where applicable. No noticeable signs of age or wear.

EXCELLENT (E)

The original item, contents, packaging and any documentation issued are complete as above. There may be very little signs of age or wear including but not limited to slight edge wear, scuffing, and possibly a small amount of writing.

VERY GOOD (V / VG)

The original item, contents, packaging and documentation are in a "played with" or “used” condition. There are normal signs of age or wear including but not limited to splits, creasing, scratches, and pinholes. Instructions / booklets are present if issued but secondary documentation may be missing.

GOOD (G)

The original item, contents, packaging and documentation may be incomplete as above but in an acceptable state though there may be tears, discolouration or other defects, including evidence of light repairs e.g. glue, tape repairs.

FAIR (F)

The original item, contents, packaging and documentation may be disfigured in addition to being incomplete.

POOR (P)

More than 65% of the original item, contents, packaging and documentation are either missing or defective in some way.

How important is condition?

If you are buying an item to use everyday then it may not matter so much if some documentation is missing. However, if the item is an investment piece then the more the item and its contents and packaging, resembles the item on the day of its production, the better. Items intended for display should be protected from direct sunlight, as colours fade slightly over time.

What do you mean by ‘vintage'?

We mean the item is of high quality.

What do you mean by ‘original movie poster’?

We mean the item is not a reproduction; the poster was produced by the movie studio for use in the cinema. With an ‘original poster', you are buying a piece of movie history by owning a poster that was printed and displayed at the time the film was showing on the big screen.

What are the standard poster sizes?

Poster sizes vary from country to country and have changed over the years. Here is a list with the most common varieties. It's also important to remember that all the sizes given below are only approximate and actual sizes will vary from poster to poster.

I have just placed an order. Can I amend it or cancel it?

Unfortunately it is not possible to amend items within your order once it has been placed and paid for. This is due to our fully automated system. However, under UK Distance Selling regulations, you have the right to cancel your order contract with us, within 7 working days of receiving your order. You will need to advise us of this so we can issue you with a full refund. We will be able to do this once you return the cancelled items to us. If you want to cancel your contract with us, please contact customerservices@kiranbe.com quoting your order number and we will be happy to help you. In this case we will issue you with a full refund.

Please note you will need to return the entire order at your cost once you receive them. In all cases, the goods must be in their original packaging and unopened. All goods are inspected on their return.

There is a problem, what can I do?

If you need to return a product that you have purchased from us, please follow our returns procedure. If you just have a question, then please email customerservices@kiranbe.com.

Can I buy a Gift Voucher from you?

Not at present but we are looking into this.

What payment methods do you accept online?

We accept Visa Debit/Credit, MasterCard Debit/Credit, JCB, Visa Electron, Maestro.

All credit card and debit cardholders are subject to validation and authorisation by both us and the card issuer, to maintain security and prevent fraud. We take security very seriously, so your details will be safe with us.

When do you charge my credit/debit card?

We will only take money once your order is ready for dispatch. If your card is authorised, payment will be taken immediately, and you will receive an email confirming that your order has been successful and your order accepted. If your card is not authorised, payment will not be taken, and we'll email to let you know why your bank or card issuer wouldn't authorise the payment. Don't despair at this stage, there may still be something simple that can be done to get the payment authorised. Please remember that even if a payment is not authorised, some card issuers may still reserve the money, meaning you can't use it for a short period.

Will I be charged VAT?

We charge VAT on all orders and deliveries within the EU excluding the Channel Islands. At the current rate of VAT is 20% for all orders.

Will I be charged in my own currency?

Your credit card will be charged in GBP and the local currency equivalent shown on your statement will be determined by your bank’s exchange rate.

My payment has been declined. What happens next?

Don’t worry. This can happen for a number of reasons. Try checking the details in your www.kiranbe.com account to ensure the card details such as the expiry date and Secure Code are correct and your billing address is the same one the card is registered too. If the problem persists, enter the details of another card and try that. You should then check directly with your financial institution to see if there is a hold on your card, the limits are fine etc.

How do I contact the Kiranbe Collectables customer care team?

If you have specific questions about your online experience or online order, you can email customerservices@kiranbe.com. Our customer care team works from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (GMT) and we aim to return your email within 48 hours Monday to Friday.

I can’t sign into My Account. What is the problem?

If you find that your email address or password is not recognised, please make sure you are using the same email address and password that you used when you registered with us. If you can't remember your password, at the sign in/join up page, click on “Forgot Password”. You will be asked to type your email address in to the 'Forgotten your Password' box on the sign-in page, and we'll send you an email to remind you what your password is.

Please note that if you type in the wrong email address and/or password 10 times, you won't be able to log in again for half an hour.

I am not receiving Kiranbe Collectables Newsletters.

One of the most common reasons for this is that your email software is marking emails from us as junk mail, and are sending them to your spam folder. To stop this from happening, please add 'no-reply@kiranbe.com' to your email address book, then emails from us should come through just fine.  If you checked this and are still not getting the newsletter, please confirm that you typed in the right email address when you signed up with us. Just sign in to your account to check, or email us, and we'll do our best to assist you.
